1 | (i) 4-Year UG Degree (Honours / Honours with Research): A student who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination held by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent Examination from other Boards / Councils with at least four subjects having English as Compulsory Subject of 100 marks is eligible to take admission to the Honours Programmes of Studies of B.A. on the basis of merit and available vacancy of the particular subject(s) of the concerned college |

2 | (ii) 3-Year UG Degree: A student who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination held by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent Examination from other Boards/Councils with at least four subjects having English as Compulsory Subject of 100 marks is eligible to take admission to the General Programmes of Studies of B.A. on the basis of merit and available vacancy of the particular subject(s) of the concerned college. |
3 | (iii) A student who has passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examinations (with English as a subject) of the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development or any equivalent Courses from National or State Level Board in regular mode shall be eligible to take admission to the 3-Year UG Degree Programme only. |
4 | (iv) NRI: In case of any NRI applicant the College Authority should seek permission from the University Authority as well as from appropriate Authority. |
5 | (v) Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examinations in the current year, immediate previous year and the year before the previous year will only be allowed to take admission. |
6 | (vi) Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects, including Marks obtained in English, in order of marks secured by a candidate. Marks obtained in Compulsory Environmental Studies (if any) shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. |
