About the department:
The department of Geography started functioning in the academic year 2011-12. On the onset, the Programme course (General) was introduced with 15 intake capacity affiliated to the University of Gour Banga. Currently the department has a Programme (General) course with 25 seat capacity as Major subject. The department focuses on helping students to understand different places, natural structures, people, economies and cultures, and their link to their own lives.
