Established in 2015, the Department of Physical Education at Harishchandrapur College is committed to nurturing students' physical competence, movement knowledge, and safety awareness. As a pass course with a major subject in the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the department focuses on promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among students. With one dedicated faculty member, the department conducts various activities to enhance students' participation in sports and athletics. A key initiative of the department is organizing sports blood donation camps, demonstrating its commitment to community welfare and holistic student development. The college boasts a well-equipped playground, providing ample opportunities for students to engage in a diverse range of sports activities, including football and cricket. Through its comprehensive approach, the Department of Physical Education contributes to the overall growth and well-being of students of Harishchandrapur College.
